What Are the Different Types of Pools That Exist?

Nowadays, there are several types of pools on the market. Seeking professional advice is the best way to find the right pool for your property. Before knowing the types of pools to declare, you will have to know the ones that exist. Pools can be grouped into three main categories:

Above-ground Pools

Above-ground pools are known for their smaller surface area, and this does not diminish their elegance. These pools do not cost much and do not require major installation work. All you need to do is to level the area where the above-ground pool will be installed as much as possible. Once this is done, it will be necessary to make a slab on the said surface.

Above ground pools come in several forms:

-The self-supporting inflatable above-ground pool;

-The tubular above-ground pool;

-The above-ground wooden pool;

-The rigid steel above ground pool.

Semi Inground Pools

Semi inground pools have a particular reputation in terms of swimming pools. Indeed, they present a specific design because a part of the pool is above ground and the other part buried. You can choose the number of sides that will be buried. Semi inground pools are suitable for all types of land, even those with rather uneven terrain.

Semi inground pools come in several forms:

-The semi-sunken swimming pool in a shell;

-The semi-sunken masonry pool;

-The semi-sunken swimming pool in kit;

-The semi-sunken wooden pool.

In-ground Pools

Inground pools are known for their life expectancy. Indeed, the manufacturers give them a lifespan of minimum 10 years. This type of pool gives a unique look to your home. Like the semi-sunken pools, they adapt to all types of land. Also, when choosing the material in which the pool will be made, several possibilities are usually offered.

In-ground pools come in several forms:

-The in-ground shell pool;

-The masonry in-ground pool;

-The in-ground swimming pool in kit.

For Which Types of Pools Do I Need to Make a Declaration?

Now that you know better the types of pools, knowing which ones must be declared is the next step. It is important to note that the declaration must be made before starting the design of the pool. Note also that all types of pools are concerned by the declaration.

As far as above-ground pools are concerned, you have to declare them if their installation exceeds 3 months per year. Also, if they are to be positioned less than 3 meters from the boundary of your home, they must be declared. Similarly, if the pool’s surface area exceeds 10 m2 and the height of its walls exceeds 1 m, it must be declared.

In the case of semi-underground and in-ground pools, the conditions for declaring a pool are the same. If a shelter covers the pool with a height of more than 1.80 m, it must be declared. If the surface area exceeds 100 m2, it must be declared. If the technical room is more than 20 m2, the pool must be declared.

  1. It really helped when you said that manufacturers would say that inground pols would usually last for about 10 years. I should probably pick this type of custom swimming pool for our backyard so that I am sure that it will last for a long time. It would definitely be good for our investment since we have a limited budget as well if it will be able to last that long.
